ProBax is the only fishing seat clinically proven to provide optimal long-term back and upper body support. This boat seat comes equipped with a patented base and back dual core foam support system only available thru TEMPRESS.This system is also water resistant and durable for prolonged use. ProBax is sewn with UV and abrasion-resistant polyester thread and covered in 30 oz. marine grade vinyl to stand up to all the elements. Eight embedded mounting inserts will fit most slider systems that have a 5” mounting system when paired with the Elite Mounting Plate (#57005). (8) 1/4 - 20 x 5/8" stainless steel bolts with Loctite are included. If your application requires you to utilize a reinforcement plate different size bolts will need to be purchased separately. Q: Can I buy replacement cushions for the helm seats?
Yes, limited colors are available.
Q: What type of mount is necessary for the Helm seat?
The Helm seat has a 5” x 12” bolt pattern and is designed to be mounted on a fore & aft slide for proper support. There are 8 bolt holes under the seat of which the center 4 create a 5” square. You may opt to use a standard square swivel, but will need to purchase a reinforcement plate to use in combination with your swivel to comply with warranty standards.
Q: What is the depth of the seat from the front of the cushion to the back of the cushion?
It is approximately 18”; but please note due to the some of the captains seats having contoured foam this measurement can vary depending on where you are measuring from.
Q: What is the width between the armrest?
The approximate width between the armrest at the further front portion of the seat is 18 ¾” wide and approximately 17 ¾” at the rear of the seat.
Q: What is the difference between a regular Elite™ and the Ultimate Elite™
The difference is in the contoured foam pack. The Ultimate has thicker foam and upgraded textured vinyl in the insert and matching upgraded piping as well.
Q: Do I have to use the reinforcement plate?
You only are required to use a reinforcement plate with the helm seat if you are not using a standard fore & aft aluminum slide.
